The Safehouse Game is an espionage themed scavenger hunt of downtown Nashville, TN. Teams are provided a 'top secret' envelope with photos, puzzles, and devices. The objective is to investigate the locations to obtain secret phrases that will lead the teams to The Safehouse.
What kind of person participates in The Safehouse Game? (back to top)
Someone who is adventurous, social, active, enjoys challenges, and wants to see the sights of downtown Nashville in an interesting way.
Where does the event begin? (back to top)
The event begins in downtown Nashville. The starting location is secret, but it is in the immediate vicinity of the nightlife and restaurants.
How long will it last? (back to top)
The event will last around 3 hours, but it will depend on how fast the teams move.
What do I need to bring? (back to top)
At least one team member will need a cell phone. You will also want to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing depending on the weather. All the maps, writing utensils, paper, and clues will be provided.
Will I have to drive around during the event? (back to top)
No. Once you park downtown, the entire event will be walking. The entire event covers less than a square mile.
Is this a race? (back to top)
You got that right. You will be competing with other teams in your group to make it to The Safehouse with the fastest time. There will also be 'spy bonuses' along the way which can affect your final time.
What locations are we going to? (back to top)
The locations will be discovered once you receive your top secret envelope. You will be receiving photos of several locations downtown, and you will have to figure out where the locations are by whatever means necessary. The locations have been hand picked for either historical significance or because I think they are really cool. All locations are in heavy traffic and safe areas.
Will I be learning Nashville history? (back to top)
Nashville offers many historical tours, but this is not one of them. The Safehouse Game is provided for entertainment and team building purposes. However, you will be learning and practicing actual spy techniques that agents have used since the Roman times up to the Cold War.
